• Provided overall church leadership while the Senior Minister was on intermission in early 2020 and throughout the Jan 2021 - Jun 2023 vacancy.
• Designed and planned sermon series, developed preaching gifts among the pastoral staff, scheduled guest preachers, and regularly offered engaging sermons that edified the congregation and supported the church's mission.
• Offered pastoral care to an intercultural and intergenerational congregation, establishing deep relationships of trust.
• Supported the elders in navigating complex organizational change in staffing and ministry structure, turbulent theological questions, the specific needs of a large urban congregation, and the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Oversaw and equipped the work of a diverse pastoral staff team and regularly collaborated with key administrative staff, fostering healthy staff dynamics on a team of 20+ staff during a season of transitions.
• Led a renewal effort for Sunday evening worship, with a new vision and commitment from a team of parishioners which saw its attendance grow steadily.
• Consistently led and hosted a small group for discipleship and bible study, modelling by example the ways the community was invited to participate in discipleship within the church.
